In July my extended family and I gathered to mourn the passing of Uncle Virgil—such a good man, with a good heart who truly loved his wife. She was several years younger than he was, and they married because of true love: they married because they had an equal love for the gospel and one another. Never have I ever seen someone love or care for another person as Aunt Ann did for Uncle Virgil. If ever anyone's marriage was cemented in love and sacrifice, this was it.
If there's ever anything I would want to say about my Chipman heritage, it's that our family is there for each other through thick and thin. We support each other in the difficult times, and have a great heritage. I love this picture of my aunts--six of the nine children. Not one of them would have been absent, and all went to great lengths to ensure they were there to honor a man who was so important to our family.
Love you, Uncle V.
