Emily needs...

Yesterday my friend Katrina posted a tag from her sister-in-laws blog that made me chuckle. So, I'm posting my own.

DIRECTIONS: after reading, play along. here are the rules:type in your name and the word needs in quotes ("your name needs") into your favorite search engine and see what comes up. list the first 10 and then tag some of your friends!here are my first 10 *needs*. (By the way: by the time I checked this, several other bloggers had done this already. It took me a while to find my ten items, and I excluded anything that had to do with facebook or myspace since apparently, someone is actually NAMED Emily Needs. Oh. And apparently, someone named Emily is very sick and needs help, 24 hour care, and prayers.)

1. emily needs to give tim food in social studies today
2. emily needs to make heat on the go
3. emily needs to be told "No, there are certain things that just are NOT allowed", just like in the real world.
4. emily needs to get her Tortillas
5. emily..needs advice
6. emily needs help deciding how to cut her hair... (tell me about it. I'll save that for a later post, though!)
7. emily needs more light on her face by burnt sugar.
8. emily needs 24 hour specialised nursing care, which requires her parents Caroline & Mike along with a specially trained ...
9. emily needs help, please
10. emily needs Your Prayers ...

You know you wore a great outift to work when...

....you co-worker says: "Well if Chipman can walk around looking like she walked straight out of CSI Miami, then I can wear...". Check out the shirt by clicking on the picture (it just went on sale at GAP!): I wore it with a pair of cream colored slacks and brown high heel sling backs. I am so glad summer's finally come, and with it all the summer colors!

Note to Self:

Sometimes I wonder if I unconsciously wrote "Note to Self: Do Something Stupid Today and Work and Get Caught" on my to-do list for the day. ... sigh...

Valentine's Day

In 1975, a newlywed couple realized they had little money to celebrate Valentine's Day. They opted to go to a corner drugstore and purchase a glass of orange juice. The Valentine's Day Breakfast tradition has been repeated almost every year since, with only one or two exceptions. This year's was once again enjoyable and high in calories. My friends Cheya and Eli joined me at Crackers in Mesa, AZ. If you haven't been, you should try to go. It's excellent.

Also, thanks to Cheya for helping me put together my Valentine's Day card for the family. Whether cupid missed or hit you this Valentine's Day, I hope your day was as wonderful as mine was... :)

State Employment Diet

I'd like to thank the wonderful state of Arizona for raising vending machine prises from 75 cents to 1 dollar over the course of the last three weeks. My wallet and waistline thank you. Still, I just have to ask: Does the state really think I'm that desperate for chocolate? (for anyone reading this, you know the true answer to that question...)

lovely weekend

Last weekend I went out to dinner (Paradise Bakery! Yummm!) with my friends Brian and Judy. Following dinner, Brian and I caught a movie called "Taken". Actually, since it scared the living day lights out of me, I only caught about 10% of it. Afterwards we walked around Tempe Marketplace (an outdoor mall sort of place), ate MOJO ice cream (thanks for treating me, Brian!) and sat on the outdoor furniture in front of a fireplace since it was sort of chilly. I thought I'd share the view with you of the fireplace in front of us:

...and the view looking up (we were clearly surrounded by palm trees):
It looks a little like paradise, doesn't it? You had probably all better love these posts while they last because come five or six months from now, I'll probably be limited to posting pictures of me sticking a dripping wet, sweaty face in front of a fan... sigh... That usually about when I remember that if it feels like heaven in February, come July the weather will feel like...somewhere else...
