I sometimes wonder how I managed to live in such a cold place for so long. The next morning greeted us with snow. I confess that I love the look of snow, even if I've forgotten how to live in cold weathered places.

Fortunately for me, there was still evidence of a beautiful spring. (We all know that I love bright, vibrant pinks, so these tulips made me so happy!)

Somehow, C and I start looking more and more alike the older we get. I suppose that part of it is our identical glasses, but then again, perhaps some of it is genetic?

I also had to take a picture of the "new" statue on campus. There wasn't a single year that BYU wasn't under construction, and I suppose that it's worthy of its own statue.

C and I outside our very own hall. Chipman's are excellent.

Somehow, two weeks before the trip C talked me into running my very first timed 5K. I was more than willing to sign up and laughingly did so as I'd done NO training for the event. I've run a race or two (?) before, but never with a timing chip. (Obviously it's been a few years since I ran one.) It was a cold morning, and we had to debate: run with a coat, or not? I opted for a fleece, which ended up being a wise decision. Except that it wasn't waterproof.

This is what you look like when it RAINS and HAILS on you throughout a 5K. I'm still smiling, so it couldn't have been tooooo bad. D and A were also running a race that weekend, and ended up covered in mud. It was a good weekend to be run races.
I suppose my overall impression of the race might be associated with the massages we all received after finishing the race. I'm never one to turn down a good massage. (And I lucked out getting TWO people to work on me at one time.) It was still freezing, but I loved it anyway. If you look closely, you can see how wet the table is...
C and I had a ball visiting plenty of family after that, and stayed with Uncle B and Aunt C that evening. (We had such a great time!) We also had fun stopping in to visit a ward that Sunday morning before we flew out. The ward was fantastic, and incredibly friendly. It also turned out to be our cousin's ward. Although we didn't end up seeing her, we made a diligent effort and left impressed with a couple of ladies who tried very hard to help us find her.

There is only one problem with this picture. I wasn;t there. The pictures look like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing this moment with us. I love being a chipman...Love, Mom
So fun to look at our pictures and relive the weekend! I love you Emily! Thanks for being the awesomest sister - and twin - in the world! :)
looks like fun! I wanna visit Utah/Provo again, it's been forever!
I have the same comment re: my sister & I look much more alike now that we're both adults! We've been mistaken for twins even thought we're 8 years apart!!
