Don't believe me? It's another one of those Phoenix treasures that I've loved discovering. The sculpture is titled "Her Secret is Patience." The following are pictures from an article from the ASU College of Public Programs (COPP) (from which I graduated with my MPA, go Devils!) website (click on the picture for more info).
For more about the inspiration behind this sculpture, see here. This link also contains a little bit of information about how this works, since the sculpture looks totally different at night (see here for pictures of the sculpture during the day). Unfortunately, there is not enough information in either of these articles to satisfy my curiosity, and I'm now going to spend additional time researching how the artist made this happen. This sculpture is awesome. Go see it. It is well worth your time and the Downtown Civic Space Park is beautiful.

Wow, that's amazing. I need to see that!
What an incredible sculpture! Is it going to be a permanent fixture, or do we have a time limit on when we can see this? I don't know when I'm going to make it to Phoenix next, but this is definitely on my list for when that day comes. That, and the Thai restaurant you mentioned a few posts ago. Thai is favorite!
wicked cool. that is all that i will say! ;-)
Love the sculpture! I've never seen anything like it. Who's N? :)
That is crazy amazing! The talent and imagination of other people baffles me!
